Due to its high standards, the Mugello race track (in Italian: "Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello") is one of the most advanced in the world. It is located north-east of Florence, set in the magnificent landscape of Tuscany. The 5.2-km circuit was modernised in 1988 and has become increasingly popular ever since as one of the most exciting and safest tracks in the world. The Italian Motorcycle Grand Prix and a number of DTM races continue to be held here every year. In the past the Mugello circuit has hosted action featuring racing stars such as Enzo Ferrari. Fast turns combined with elongated bends and long straights make Mugello one of those tracks which demand everything of man and machine.
