In Beijing, a new designation will become visible for the first time in Asia: BMW iPerformance. Starting 2016, all BMW plug-in hybrid vehicles will bear this name. iPerfomance not only stands for innovative mobility but is also a visible sign of the technology transfer from BMW i to other BMW models. This is because the iPerformance models benefit in technical terms from the expertise in electric motors, battery cells and electronic control units. Customers can also benefit from the innovative products and services of BMW i 360° ELECTRIC, such as the BMW i Wallbox or BMW i Remote App.

The designation will first be on show in the plug-in hybrid models of the new BMW 7 Series, such as in the BMW 740e iPerformance. Other vehicles from the compact to luxury classes will follow.
