A foundation gets needy young Americans into college and onto the golf course.

"Golf for all" is the goal of the Evans Scholar Foundation. Needy young Americans receive a scholarship in return for helping out as golf caddies. The idea hails from Chick Evans, who himself rose through the ranks from humble beginnings. His foundation comes under the wing of the Western Golf Association, which also stages the BMW Championship. It teaches caddies not only to swing their clubs like professionals, but also provides them with lessons for life.
