The compatibility of a vehicle’s interface with mobile terminals (USB, SnapIn adapter) and the offered applications (apps) depends on the individual devices and in particular may vary depending on the terminal’s software version. The compatibility between the vehicle, mobile device, and apps therefore depends greatly on the version of the terminal’s software.
Owing to further factors (e.g. network coverage or quality, interfaces to external platforms, operating status of the mobile device) sporadic restrictions to functionality cannot be ruled out completely in individual cases, although the devices are otherwise operating reliably. Some applications access the internet for third party services that can affect or restrict the function, e.g. when the third party provider modifies the interface for his services.
For this reason, BMW cannot assume any warranty for the unrestricted compatibility and functionality of your mobile device when it is interacting with the vehicle’s interface, the apps, or third party services.
The offer and range of functions differ depending on the country and installed equipment.
The BMW Connected App is available from the apps store of the end device’s provider (note the requirements and conditions applicable to the country), and updates are possible without extra charge. Enhancements may incur costs. A broadband data link is required. The costs for this (e.g. data roaming) are regulated by the customer agreement with the mobile phone service provider.
