The latest-generation BMW ActiveHybrid full hybrid with plug-in technology is powered by a three-cylinder common-rail turbo diesel engine and an electric motor on each axle. It features the very latest in Brake Energy Regeneration to recharge the highly efficient 91 lithium-polymer batteries, currently the leading technology in storing electrical energy, during the journey. Additional technologies: sophisticated aerodynamics from the world of motorsport and future-oriented energy management takes advantage of all situations to save fuel.
And these technologies are not just good in theory: the innovative design of BMW ActiveHybrid technology combines sports car performance (4.8s from 0-100 km/h) with the consumption and emission levels and a modern, premium small car. BMW Vision EfficientDynamics allows you to experience BMW EfficientDynamics in its purest and truest form. Near production ready with CO2 emissions of 99 g/km, consumption of 3.76 litres/100 km (basis: KV01), performance of 241 kW /328 hp and a top speed of 250 km/h (electronically limited). The pure electrical range of BMW Vision EfficientDynamics is 50 km. However, thanks to intelligent interaction with the three-cylinder common-rail turbo diesel engine, it is possible to cover up to 700 km.
