BMW ACTIVE E.

The long-term objective of the BMW EfficientDynamics strategy is completely emission-free mobility. The BMW ActiveE already displays innovative concepts that show what we can expect to see from purely electrical driving in the future – including typical BMW dynamics.

 

Developed to electrify.

The completely electrical BMW ActiveE is the first local emissions-free BMW vehicle to be produced on a small scale for a pilot project. Findings and experience gathered from the BMW ActiveE were applied in the development of the BMW i3. The BMW ActiveE is based on the BMW 1 Series Coupé and provides typical BMW driving pleasure with its 125 kW (170 hp) electrical motor. Energy consumption of 0.12 kWh/km on average means it only needs to be recharged after approximately 160 km.

The BMW eDrive concept with its combination of electrical motor, lithium-ion high-performance battery and intelligent energy management ensures an extremely agile, fascinating driving experience and impressive acceleration with up to 250 Nm of torque from a standing position. The purposeful division of the high-performance battery means a generous 200 litres of boot space plus four full-size seats can be utilised.
