BMW Service.
You have to plan many things in life but fortunately service appointments are not one of them – that is if you drive a BMW 1 Series. Thanks to the innovative maintenance system CBS (Condition Based Service), the vehicle always knows when its next service is due.
CBS permanently monitors the degree of wear and tear on individual components, such as the brake pads and engine oil. It uses the info display in the cockpit or the free-standing Control Display to notify you of service requirements.
And in the BMW 1 Series, it doesn’t end there. As soon as CBS determine a service requirement, such as an engine oil change, BMW TeleServices transfer on request all relevant data directly to your BMW Service Partner, who will then contact you to arrange an appointment. If required, they can also order any necessary parts so that they are there in time for your visit. When you arrive for your appointment, your BMW Service Partner will be completely up to date on all of your service needs and the necessary parts will already be in stock. This helps to keep the costs and duration of your service appointment to a minimum. The maintenance work carried out is stored electronically in the vehicle via the service history, with the data being shown on the Control Display.
Teleservices can also notify the customer if the charge level of the battery becomes critical or even correct individual malfunctions if required.
