The BMW 320i's four-cylinder in-line engine with High Precision Injection displays stunning efficiency. For optimal combustion, piezo injectors inject the fuel at high pressure into the combustion chamber, which is kept at the ideal temperature. Intelligent energy management for vehicles with manual transmission uses an Auto Start Stop function to automatically turn the engine off when no power is needed, starting it afresh when light pressure is applied to the clutch. An impressive engine performance of 125 kW (170 hp) delivers thrilling acceleration: from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds, top speed is 230 km/h.
