BMW TwinPower Turbo diesel engines.
BMW TwinPower Turbo diesel engines have a lightweight aluminium construction and are fitted with a maintenance-free particle filter. Common rail direct injection is combined with fully variable performance control and innovative turbocharger technology for enhanced efficiency and dynamics.
The result? A new dimension in driving pleasure and efficiency. The
BMW TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder diesel engine in the BMW 318d unleashes
105 kW (143 hp) of power and a maximum torque of 320 Nm. The power unit in the BMW 320d is even more dynamic, with its two-litre engine generating an impressive 135 kW (184 hp). With up to 380 Nm torque, it accelerates the vehicle from a standing start to 100 km/h in 8.0 seconds and can reach a speed of up to 230 km/h. Fuel consumption is an efficient 5.0 to 4.9 litres per 100 km (xDrive: 5.1 litres), with CO2 emission of 131 to 129 g/km (320d xDrive: 134 to 133 g/km).
The BMW TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder diesel engine in the BMW 325d produces an even more impressive 160 kW (218 hp). With maximum torque of 450 Nm between 1,500 and 2,000 rpm, the powertrain ensures enormous drive force, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds and a top speed of 240 km/h. Thanks to BMW EfficientDynamics measures, the combined fuel consumption is a mere 5.2 to 5.1 litres per 100 km, with CO2 emissions of 137 to 134 g/km.
The BMW 330d has a powerful BMW TwinPower Turbo 3.0-litre, inline 6-cylinder diesel engine. At just 4,000 rpm, the 190 kW (258 hp) power unit delivers an impressive 560 Nm of torque. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 5.7 s (xDrive: 5.4 s). Combined fuel consumption is a mere 5.2 to 5.1 l/100 km (xDrive: 5.4 l/100 km), with combined CO2 emissions of only 136 to 135 g/km (xDrive:
143 to 142 g/km).
The top diesel model for the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo is the BMW 335d xDrive: With 230 kW (313 hp) and a remarkable 630 Nm of torque, the vehicle is a fully fledged sprinter, reaching 100 km/h from a standing start in just 4.9 s. Despite its outstanding performance, the combined fuel consumption of the inline 6-cylinder power unit is a mere 5.7 to 5.6 l/100 km, with CO2 emissions of only 149 to 148 g/km.
All diesel engines in the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo fulfil the EU6 emission norm as standard.
