BMW Apps.
Well connected: now you no longer have to do without the apps on your iPhone while on the road. Simply connect your iPhone to your BMW using the snap-in adapter or via the original Apple cable and you can conveniently operate individual apps with the iDrive Controller.
“BMW Connected” is a free app developed by BMW that brings Facebook, Twitter, your diary or your favourite Web radio channel onto the main vehicle display. You can display the latest status reports from your Facebook or Twitter account and view any forthcoming appointments on the Control Display or have them read out via the speakers using the text-to-speech function.
In addition, with the Last Navigation function and the Vehicle Finder you can reach the destinations set in the navigation system of your BMW even when you are outside of the vehicle as well as find your way back to your parked car at any time. Functions available through the BMW Connected app are updated on a regular basis, and, of course, you can use apps certified by BMW via BMW ConnectedDrive in the vehicle.
BMW Apps is compatible with iPhone from version 3GS and requires the special equipment BMW ConnectedDrive Services and Navigation system Professional.
