The BMW TwinPower inline 6-cylinder petrol engine with a capacity of 3.0 litres in the BMW 440i boasts especially impressive performance values: 240 kW (326 hp), a maximum torque of 450 Nm and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.4 s (xDrive Steptronic transmission: 5.4 s). The maximum speed is 250 km/h (limited). Average fuel consumption remains modest at only 7.2 to 6.8 l per 100 km (xDrive Steptronic transmission: 7.6 to 7.3 l/100 km), enabling low CO2 emissions of 167 to 159 g/km (xDrive Steptronic transmission: 177 to 169 g/km).
The BMW TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder petrol engine in the BMW 430i also sets standards in efficiency: while its 185 kW (252 hp) accelerate it to a speed of 100 km/h in 6.4 s (Steptronic transmission: 6.3 s; xDrive Steptronic: 6.4 s), the engine manages on only 7.0 to 6.6 l of fuel over 100 kilometres (Steptronic transmission: 6.3 to 5.9 l; xDrive Steptronic: 6.7 to 6.4 l) and at the same time achieves a CO2 value of 162 to 154 g/km (Steptronic transmission: 146 to 138 g/km; xDrive Steptronic: 156 to 149 g/km).
The BMW 420i is also fuel-saving and efficient. It requires 6.6 to 6.2 litres of fuel for 100 kilometres (Steptronic transmission: 6.2 to 5.8 l), with CO2 emissions of 153 to 145 g/km (Steptronic transmission: 144 to 136 g/km). 135 kW (184 hp) of power guarantee outstanding forward thrust across the entire rev range - with driving pleasure guaranteed.
