BMW Assist turns your BMW into your personal travel manager. Its automatic emergency and breakdown assistance with vehicle location feature increases passenger safety. En route, current traffic conditions are monitored and an alternative route is recommended if congestion threatens. BMW Assist also provides useful information, for example, about hotels and restaurants, and addresses can be transferred directly to the navigation system.

BMW Online.

The BMW Online internet portal provides individually configured information such as news and business updates. From available parking spaces to the address of the nearest chemist or cinema, BMW Online provides invaluable assistance throughout your journey. With its address book, e-mail and information applications, BMW Online enables you to transform your BMW into a mobile office.

Navigation systems.

The direct route to your destination: the satellite-supported navigation systems present directions as clear arrows on the monitor and as easy-to-follow spoken instructions over the sound system. The BMW Business Navigation system offers a larger 6.5-inch colour monitor, while the BMW Professional system has integrated Voice Control and a large 8.8-inch colour monitor.

Bluetooth interface.

The optional Bluetooth interface enables effortless integration of the Bluetooth-compatible mobile telephone with the BMW 5 Series Sedan's on-board communication system. Telephone-book entries and records are automatically synchronised when the telephone comes within range. The multifunction steering wheel and hands-free sound system can be used to operate the telephone. Your BMW dealer can provide information about compatible telephone models.
