The BMW ActiveHybrid 5 is equipped with the innovative Bang & Olufsen high-end Surround Sound system. Supreme listening pleasure and a magnificent driving sensation merge into one unique experience.
The centre speaker opens whenever the high-end audio system is activated. It contains the acoustic lens which guarantees homogeneous frequency transmission throughout the vehicle and thus produces a perfect sound stage. Just as in an orchestra, treble, mid-range and bass tones assume their exact position and create musical enjoyment fit for a concert hall – in every seat of your BMW.
Sixteen active speakers with a total of 1,200 watts produce music in brilliant quality. Acoustic options can be selected: in ‘Studio’ mode, a clear sound emerges, while in ‘Expanded’ mode, the acoustic space appears enlarged, thus creating an incomparable surround-sound experience.
The artistically elegant styling matches the high level of sound quality: aluminium speaker trims appear to hover thanks to the floating design and their precise perforation pattern is characteristic of Bang & Olufsen.
