The BMW 6 Series Coupé is available with a choice of three six-speed transmissions that ensure optimum power delivery to the driven wheels. As well as six-speed manual and automatic units, it is also available with BMW's Sequential Manual Gearbox (SMG), which enables gear shifts without the need to de-clutch or take hands from the wheel. The shorter gearing on the 6 Series Coupé further underlines the car's sports-performance character.
