Adaptive LED Headlights.
The optional Adaptive LED Headlights emphasise the unmistakable appearance of the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupé and allow fatigue-free driving at night.
Two three-dimensional light rings enclose the central LED module on each side of the headlight and create the typical BMW appearance. Dipped and high beam lights incorporate LED modules and both light rings and shine without the usual ‘dot effect’. Because its temperature is very similar to that of daylight, LED light has a very bright beam, enabling traffic signs to be seen more clearly.
Cornering lights, Adaptive Headlights and High Beam Assistant are integrated into the headlights. The cornering lights turn on automatically when bends are taken slowly. All other bends are the responsibility of Adaptive Headlights: they adapt smoothly to steering wheel movements and speed, and light up the road ahead perfectly. The High Beam Assistant turns the high beam on and off according to traffic and light conditions, making night-time driving easier. Even functions such as accent lights, direction indicator lights and cornering lights have been implemented with LED technology.
