Well connected: now you no longer have to do without apps on your iPhone while on the road. Simply connect your iPhone to your BMW using the snap-in adapter or the original Apple connector cable and you can comfortably operate individual apps with the iDrive Controller.

“BMW Connected” is a free app developed by BMW that brings Facebook, Twitter or your favourite web radio station in a clear overview to the main vehicle display in the cockpit. In addition, with the Last Navigation function and the Vehicle Finder you can reach the destinations set in the navigation system of your BMW even when you are outside of your vehicle as well as find your way back to your vehicle at any time. Functions available through the BMW Connected app are updated on a regular basis, and, of course, you can use apps certified by BMW in the future via BMW ConnectedDrive in the vehicle. Get ready for the next generation of mobile communication and mobile entertainment: with your iPhone and BMW ConnectedDrive.

BMW Apps is compatible with iPhone GS3/4 and iPod Touch (with an active Wi-Fi connection) devices and requires the optional equipment “Apps”.

In the case of an accident, help is now on hand quicker than ever before. As soon as the crash sensors on the vehicle are activated, you are automatically connected to the BMW Call Centre. The position of your vehicle as well as the data collected by the crash sensors (e.g. airbag activation or passenger occupancy) is evaluated and passed on. This ensures that the rescue services are fully informed as to the type of accident and are prepared when they arrive on the scene. If you witness an accident without being involved yourself, you can of course activate the emergency call manually.

If you are looking for near-by restaurants, hotels or points of interest, you can allow the information to be transferred directly to your vehicle and integrated in the navigation system. All of the transferred contact data is immediately saved in the address book, and if you require additional assistance, calls to the Information Service are free of charge for BMW ConnectedDrive customers.

You can receive, read and answer emails whilst you're on the road, and an integrated address book allows you to access, save and edit your contact data quickly and easily. Existing data can be synchronised without any problem using the BMW Online Portal so that you can call it up directly in your vehicle and transfer it to your address book. Being out of the office no longer means you are out of reach.

With the Travel and Leisure Planner in the BMW 7 Series Sedan, you can feel at home wherever you are in the world. Whether you're sightseeing or looking for a hotel, restaurant or nearby parking space, the system can lead you directly to the facility you need. The search results include address, contact and opening hours information and can be transferred at the press of a button to the navigation system or your mobile phone. It is also possible to use the BMW route planner online. BMW Routes can be exclusively saved by BMW ConnectedDrive customers and accessed in the BMW 7 Series free of charge.

Remote functions for the BMW 7 Series Sedan.

You've locked yourself out of your vehicle or are not sure if you've locked it properly? No problem - one call to the BMW Call Centre is all it takes to remotely lock or open the doors to your vehicle. And to make sure only you can access this service, you will be asked to specify your personal code to verify that you are the owner of your BMW.
