Three 32-byte processors form the brain of the MS S 65 engine electronics system. Information from over 50 signals per cylinder is analysed to maximise the efficiency of each power stroke by altering the camshaft angle and the position of the ten throttle valves. The engine electronics system also controls the ion stream knock control that gauges the ideal ignition time of the individual cylinders, thus making full use of the engine's potential.
Combined fuel consumption 14.8 l/100 km
CO2 emissions 357 g/km
Further information about the official fuel consumption and the official specific CO2 emissions for new passenger automobiles can be found in the "New Passenger Vehicle Fuel Consumption and CO2 Emission Guidelines", which are available free of charge at all sales outlets and from DAT Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH, Hellmuth-Hirth-Str. 1, 73760 Ostfildern, Germany.
