Developed on the race track for everyday use. As an independent development of BMW M GmbH, the BMW M5 abides by the M Philosophy and perfectly combines high performance with suitability for everyday use.
Meeting high demands. The complicated M high-performance chassis was completely redeveloped. Then came the hardest test for M Automobiles, Nürburgring Nordschleife, where the vehicles were tested and finely calibrated. The results are maximum driving dynamics and agility, as well as a large amount of precision and control – even at the limits of driving physics. The two front-suspension strut towers front are connected to the chassis by a suspension cross-brace in aluminium. Localised stiffening of the front of the car optimises stability and increases the precision of steering responses. Combined with the M TwinPower Turbo V8 engine and the 7-speed M double-clutch transmission with Drivelogic, it creates an automobile that sets new standards for dynamic driving and precision.
