Adaptive Drive.
The intelligently interlinked active chassis control systems of Dynamic Drive and Dynamic Damper Control form the centrepiece of a genuine ‘high-end’ chassis: In connection with two M-specific settings, Adaptive Drive is the perfect synthesis of maximum driving dynamics and supreme travelling comfort.
To achieve this, the driving speed, the steering angle as well as the lateral and longitudinal acceleration of the vehicle are permanently monitored and transformed into control commands for stabilisers and shock absorbers. These components counteract the centrifugal forces of the vehicle and actively reduce the body movements of your BMW X5 M. Precise steering characteristics, high directional stability and reduced braking distances provide noticeably more travelling comfort and an ultimate driving experience on short stretches. At the touch of a button, you can switch between normal and the especially sporty chassis setting.
