Wastes neither power nor time: the 6-speed M Sport automatic transmission impresses with extremely short shifting times and transfers the drive force of the engine intelligently over the entire range of revs.
With its lightning-speed gear shifts, the BMW X6 M sets sporting standards. The direct almost interrupted flow of power produces maximum tractive force and acceleration values, during which the special comfort of your M seats pays off once more. Using the gear shift lever or M gearshift paddles on the steering wheel allows manual intervention in the shifting circuitry at any time. In addition, two pre-programmed settings for the engine and transmission control guarantee maximum dynamics and unique efficiency.
‘Sport’ mode is designed for maximum dynamics: the vehicle accelerates powerfully accompanied by a sound that produces goosebumps from every throttle command. The ‘Efficient’ mode leads to a softer response of the engine and earlier gear changes – for comfortable and relaxed driving with reduced fuel consumption. Both driving modes can be called up via the M Drive button on the steering wheel. This is called M driving pleasure at the touch of a button.
