All three seat backs can be inclined in 10 different stages, between the Comfort position (31°) and the Cargo position (upright), thus enabling either extremely comfortable seating for passengers or the transport of bulky objects in the luggage compartment. With the seats in the Cargo position, 480 litres of space are available. The Comfort position with its extremely relaxed seating offers 360 litres. Further, in the 2+1 position, there's enough room for generous loading as well as a full seating position − thanks to the 40:20:40 split-seats.

While you're on the move, water bottles can be stored in the inner door pockets, with cups accommodated in the holder in the centre console. All of this makes the BMW X1 a multifunctional vehicle that offers excellent all-round support − whatever you happen to be doing.
