BMW TwinPower Turbo straight six-cylinder diesel engines.
Both diesel engines in the BMW X6 xDrive30d and the xDrive40d use state-of-the-art common-rail diesel technology for higher performance and uniquely low consumption.
The turbo diesel engine in the BMW X6 xDrive30d delivers 180 kW (245 hp) and 540 Nm of torque, yet consumes just 7.4 l/100 km with CO2 emissions of 195 g/km. In combination with the special option of BMW Diesel with BluePerformance, this model already meets the EU6 emission standard due to come into force in 2014.
Even more efficient is the BMW X6 xDrive40d with its BMW TwinPower Turbo technology: two turbochargers with variable turbine geometry work in sequence to provide impressive power and high revs. With 225 kW (306 hp) and 600 Nm of torque under the bonnet, the car sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds, while the common-rail direct injection system guarantees extreme smoothness and an impressively low average fuel consumption of 7.5 litres per 100 km.
