DESIGN.

EXTERIOR DESIGN.

The BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo captivates its beholders with the very first glimpse. The elongated bonnet and the pointed contours from C pillar to the car body impart a dynamic forward thrust. In the side view, the windows and the flowing roof line emphasise the classic sporty coupé character, while the L-shaped lights at the rear underline the broad shape of the vehicle.

ADAPTIVE LED HEADLIGHTS.

The design of the optional Adaptive LED Headlights additionally hones the dynamic character of the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo. Use of LED technology makes the familiar BMW double-round headlights easily recognisable from a distance. Rings of the daytime running lights cut off to the centre convey the systematic focus on the road while the rear lights fully designed in LED optic emphasise the powerful stance of the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo on the road even more distinctly.

INTERIOR DESIGN.

Take a seat and enjoy an inspiring combination of sportiness and functionality. The cockpit tailored to an exceptional driving experience with its optimally accessible controls is the key to sheer driving pleasure. In addition chrome applications on controls for the audio system and air conditioning create haptic experiences.

COMFORT & FUNCTIONALITY.

SPACIOUSNESS.

When someone wants to open the luggage compartment after a shopping spree, they usually have to awkwardly search for the key in their bags while standing in front of the car with their arms full. This becomes unnecessary with the innovative Comfort access system, which – in conjunction with the Automatic tailgate operation – enables contactless opening of the tailgate. A quick, targeted wave of the foot under the rear bumper is all it takes for the tailgate to open via sensor. Sensors installed at different heights in the rear bumper detect people and register the motion of the foot. The tailgate can also be closed automatically in the same manner. This feature therefore makes it considerably easier to operate and load the luggage compartment. The system only allows access after it has identified the corresponding car key.

PRACTICAL FUNCTIONS.

Numerous cleverly designed functions make everyday life a little easier for you. Examples include the practical Comfort Access. In combination with the automatic tailgate operation, it permits contactless opening of the luggage compartment lid.

MOBILE COMFORT.

Telephony with wireless charging and Wi-Fi hotspot. Telephony with wireless charging includes a wireless charging dock* and additional USB ports. A roof aerial connection improves mobile reception. Two mobile telephones and an audio player can be connected simultaneously via Bluetooth. Also included are: Bluetooth Office and the technical capacity for a WiFi hotspot.

The equipment includes a built-in WiFi hotspot using the LTE standard, which allows for a paid internet connection. The vehicle is connected via the built-in SIM card with a fee-based hotspot plan from a service provider.

ADDITIONAL COMFORT.

In the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo, a comfortable car journey begins the moment you enter the vehicle and continues seamlessly in the interior. This comfort is coming from features such as the panorama glass roof, the automatic climate control or the equipment package multifunction for steering wheel.

DRIVING DYNAMICS & EFFICIENCY.

DYNAMICS IN TOP FORM.

More driving pleasure with fewer emissions. The BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo selectively combines attributes that only appear not to match. A whole technology package powers it efficiently to top performances – from BMW EfficientDynamics measures such as the eight-speed Steptronic transmission through to the adaptive suspension. And optically, the active rear spoiler unmistakeably underlines the sheer dynamism of the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo.

DYNAMIC EFFICIENCY.

The BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo sets standards in terms of dynamics and ride comfort. Interacting with the strength of BMW TwinPower Turbo engines, the eight-speed Steptronic transmission enables optimum power build-up at all speeds. The Adaptive M suspension introduces an even greater experience of driving dynamics.

ACTIVE REAR SPOILER.

The Active rear spoiler automatically extends at a speed of over 110 km/h and retracts once the speed returns to 70 km/h in order to improve stability. It can also be manually activated via a button on the driver's door.

INTELLIGENT ENERGY MANAGEMENT.

Standard BMW EfficientDynamics technologies – such as Automatic Start/Stop function, ECO PRO mode, Brake Energy Regeneration and electro-mechanical power steering – form an intelligent energy management system that reduces fuel consumption, thereby contributing to sustainable mobility. A high level of driving dynamics and driving pleasure are preserved without compromise.

BMW HEAD-UP DISPLAY.

The full-colour BMW Head-Up Display projects information relevant to the journey directly into the driver's field of vision, thereby allowing them to fully concentrate on driving. The display includes information such as the current speed, navigation directions, Speed Limit Info incl. no-overtaking indicator, along with telephone and entertainment lists.
