EXTERIOR DESIGN.

Dynamic proportions, precise lines and sculptured surfaces: The BMW 7 Series shows typical BMW design in its most elegant form. Be it in the forward-surging front, the extended side view or powerful rear, the BMW 7 Series radiates its natural and authoritative presence from every angle.

INTERIOR DESIGN.

Whichever seat you occupy in the BMW 7 Series, you feel the contemporary and future-orientated atmosphere of luxurious wellbeing. A virtuosic composition of material, light, shape, colour and innovative technologies to accompany people who wish to move things – be it from the rear or from the driver’s seat.

REFINEMENT.

The BMW 7 Series represents precision and quality craftsmanship at a supreme level. Evidence of this is the Floating Design Mirror: The side mirrors appear to grow organically out of the window outline. Modern and elegant in their effect, they also enhance the aerodynamics. Other examples of genuine detail refinements are the Active air stream kidney grille with vertical slats in Chrome, the high-precision and powerfully distinctive appearance of the wheel design and the seamlessly incorporated Hofmeister kink. On the inside, high-quality materials such as chrome with interior trims in Poplar Grain Grey fine-wood finish and seats with upholstery such as exclusive ‘Nappa’ leather in Ivory White create a harmonious combination. Also displaying a high level of handicraft is the instrument panel, which includes features that are individually matched during the production process to create a seamless overall picture. The BMW Individual Collection with an exclusive colour and material scheme offers additional varied options for designing the BMW 7 Series. These include the upholstery colour of the BMW Individual full-leather trim ‘Merino‘ in Mediterranean Brown Tartufo with hand-crafted details such as the stitching in woven look, hand-braided piping and colour-contrasting seams.

EN VOGUE SINCE 1977.

With the BMW 7 Series we encounter a style icon that has been reinventing itself again and again for 40 years. It has embodied exclusivity since its premiere. And an impressive innovative force. It has set a series of technological milestones as the first of its class with digital engine electronics, electronic speedometer including Cruise Control and an on-board computer with theft protection. The BMW 7 Series – ahead of its time from the very outset. The first model series of the luxury limousine achieved sales of 280,000 and was therefore not only a symbol of its time but also omnipresent. This success story is now culminating in two jubilee models: one in elegant Petrol Mica metallic, the other in futuristic Frozen Silver metallic. Both with a self-assured attitude: style never goes out of fashion.

INNOVATIVE FUNCTIONALITY.

BMW LASERLIGHT.

In laser highbeam mode, BMW Laserlight illuminates a range of up to 600 metres - nearly twice as far as that of conventional headlights. With the use of this new headlight technology, BMW Laserlight improves safety with better nighttime visibility. The equipment includes LED lowbeam headlights and LED highbeams with a laser module. The extremely bright BMW Laserlight has a light intensity substantially higher than that of conventional light sources. Headlights with BMW Laserlight feature blue design accents, as well as ""BMW Laserlight"" lettering, which differentiate them visually. BMW Laserlight also includes LED parking lights, LED daytime running lights, LED indicators, LED cornering lights, Adaptive headlights and BMW Selective Beam (dazzle-free High-beam assistant).

BMW GESTURE CONTROL.

With BMW Gesture Control, selected functions can be operated by means of defined hand movements. Simple gestures such as 'swiping' or 'pointing' are identified in the recognition area above the centre console and trigger functions such as accepting or rejecting an incoming telephone call, proceeding or cancelling navigation as well as starting and ending voice recordings. Volume can be adjusted by circular motions of the index finger. Gesture Control complements the existing control systems such as the iDrive Touch Controller.

Active available gestures are displayed on the Control Display, to help the driver or passenger use them. In addition, the system gives an immediate audible and visual response to the gestures.

BMW TOUCH COMMAND.

The BMW Touch Command is a tablet with 7'' display integrated into the centre armrest in the rear. It is connected to the car's systems and offers comprehensive operation and setting options. Using the tablet, the rear seats and front passenger seat can be adjusted, for example. Air conditioning, ventilation and seat heating in the rear can be operated, as well as the interior lighting with Ambient light, the blinds for the glass sunroof and the roller sunblinds. For example, the entertainment functions can be controlled and desired media (such as movies) can be played on the displays in the rear. The portable BMW Touch Command can be conveniently charged from the snap-in adapter.

REMOTE CONTROL PARKING.

The Remote Control Parking function allows the driver to conveniently get out of the vehicle before parking it via remote control by moving it forward into, or reversing out of, a tight parking space or garage. The Remote Control Parking function is activated by the driver once outside the car, with the aid of the BMW display key. The entire parking procedure is monitored by Park Distance Control (PDC), the Parking assistant and the Surround View sensors. In order to use Remote Control Parking, the vehicle must be facing forwards and positioned straight, directly in front of the parking space or garage. The driver can also brake the car during the parking process if necessary. Once parked, the engine can be switched off via the key. And when it is time to leave, the engine can also be restarted via the key. During remote-controlled pulling out of a parking space, the vehicle autonomously reverses out of the parking space or garage.

WELLBEING & COMFORT.

EXECUTIVE LOUNGE.

There is hardly a more effective place to relax when on the move than in the Executive Lounge of the BMW 7 Series. It offers the rear passenger on the front passenger side maximum comfort through a wide range of adjustment options, an optional massage function with combined Vitality Programme and a footrest for a particularly comfortable resting position. In addition, the front passenger seat can be moved far forwards electrically and its backrest folded forwards for maximum leg room. A folding table and the equipment option Rear-seat entertainment Experience perfectly round off the rear of the BMW 7 Series as a place of retreat.

AMBIENT LIGHT DESIGN.

Light creates worlds – in nature, in art, in design and in the BMW 7 Series. Various direct and indirect light sources lend the interior of the BMW 7 Series its modern lounge character. The lighting concept is perfected with the Panorama glass roof Sky Lounge when natural light sources combine with the colour nuances of the Ambient light to create an unforgettable atmosphere.

BOWERS & WILKINS DIAMOND SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM.

The Bowers & Wilkins Diamond surround sound system offers outstanding studio-quality sound in the vehicle. The careful positioning of the speakers guarantees that driver and passengers always enjoy the best possible sound, no matter where they are sitting. Sixteen speakers with a total output of 1,400 watts provide a mesmerising sound experience. Innovative speaker materials strike the perfect balance between sound quality and vehicle weight. The Bowers & Wilkins Diamond surround sound system diamond tweeters are made of pure synthetic diamonds. This distinctly light and extremely resilient material is ideal for producing high-frequency signals. Further highlights include the NautilusTM technology, which deflects undesirable sound radiation from the back of the dome, allowing a three-dimensional sound to be created, as well as two mid-range speakers with Kevlar® technology and two central subwoofers with Rohacell® technology. The stainless-steel speaker trim features the exclusive Fibonacci cutout design. When the system is turned on, the speakers are subtly illuminated, which visually emphasises the system's outstanding sound quality.

DRIVING DYNAMICS & EFFICIENCY.

BMW iPERFORMANCE.

A BMW luxury-class sedan with minimum fuel consumption figures and full dynamic characteristics in all driving modes. Thanks to its comfort and dynamics, the BMW 7 Series iPerformance confirms all expectations. Externally, the iPerformance model differs from conventionally powered models with the eDrive badge on the C-pillars on both sides, for example, as well as the i badge on the front side panels. The blue kidney grille slats and blue wheel hubs are also unmistakeable signs of the vehicle's innovative drive technology. What distinguishes it above all is the range in pure electric mode. With 44 to 48 kilometres (41 to 45 kilometres with xDrive), it drives without local emissions and without consuming fuel. Even in combined mode, the CO2 emissions figure for the BMW 7 Series iPerformance is 51 to 45 g/km (56 to 49 g/km with xDrive). The high-voltage battery is stored beneath the rear seat so that a sufficient volume of the 420 litres remains for bulky luggage. A future-orientated vehicle concept that is second to none.

CARBON CORE.

A core element of BMW EfficientLightweight in the BMW 7 Series is to use an innovative mixed construction for the body. Using steel, aluminium and in particular innovative carbon fibre (carbon fibre–reinforced plastic, CFRP) not only meets all the requirements for driving dynamics and comfort, but also sets whole new standards in the luxury class.

At the centre of the holistic concept stands the Carbon Core, showcasing its weight advantage compared with steel in the torsional stiffness of the body. Together with a consistent weight reduction from the broad concept down to the smallest detail, this achieves an almost perfect 50:50 axle load distribution and drops the centre of gravity even further. In short, this spells out the ideal car DNA for maximum driving comfort while still boasting an improvement in handling and agility as well as low fuel consumption and emissions. In this way, BMW EfficientDynamics intelligently connects the ultimate in efficiency with maximum driving dynamics, and demonstrates its technological capabilities in the field of innovative lightweight construction.

BMW 730d/Ld.

The BMW 730d/Ld with TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder diesel engine from the new generation of BMW EfficientDynamics engines displays commanding driving performance and low fuel consumption. It delivers an impressive torque of 620 Nm and a maximum output of 195 kW (265 hp). The combined fuel consumption rate is just 5.0 to 4.5 litres per 100 km (5.2 to 4.8 litres per 100 km with xDrive), with low average CO2 emissions of 132 to 119 g/km (137 to 127 g/km with xDrive). Equipped with this engine, the BMW 730d/Ld takes just 6.2 to 6.1 seconds for the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (5.9 to 5.8 seconds with xDrive) and reaches a top speed of 250 km/h. The aluminium lightweight construction 3.0 litre diesel engine inspires with its great performance, incredible power delivery and top-notch responsiveness at all engine speeds. It combines CommonRail direct injection and a one-stage turbocharger with variable turbine geometry.

M Driver's Package.

The M Driver's Package increases the top speed from the standard 250 km/h to 305 km/h. The M Driver's Package can be ordered straight away when purchasing a new vehicle or can easily be added on at a later date. All other technical data remain unchanged once installed. This also includes a voucher for BMW M Intensive Training as part of BMW Driving Experience. Should the M Driver's Package be purchased more than once then the Driving Experience training can be switched for a different training, including an additional charge.

THE BMW 7 SERIES 12-CYLINDER SEDANS.

With the BMW M760Li xDrive and the BMW M760Li xDrive Model V12 Excellence, BMW M GmbH has created the first M Performance Automobiles to be based on the BMW 7 Series Sedan. The two top models of this series have an M Performance TwinPower Turbo 12-cylinder petrol engine. The BMW M760Li xDrive is clearly the most dynamic variant, while the focus for the Model V12 Excellence is more on the luxurious character of the vehicle. Both models have premium exterior and interior components from the BMW Individual portfolio. Two automobiles have been built that impress with a top-quality combination of unadulterated dynamics, comfort and innovations. Once again, BMW M GmbH engineers have demonstrated their vast expertise in the development of exclusive, sporty automobiles.
