The BMW X6 M combines M typical performance with the flexibility of an X model. A spirited M TwinPower Turbo 8-cylinder petrol engine, 8-speed M Steptronic transmission and M-specific xDrive let you take driving pleasure to the extreme. Standard-feature 20" or optional 21" light alloy wheels and the powerful design of the front and rear aprons guarantee a commanding presence. The generous interior of this Sports Activity Coupé impresses with premium materials, sporty M seats and a wide variety of details in the unmistakable M design. A high-performance automobile offering spectacular acceleration and handling, outstanding comfort and limitless driving fun.

The front is dominated by commanding air inlets and the wide M double-bridge kidney grille, which indicate the vehicle’s enormous potential. Rounded off by striking headlights, the dynamic character is further emphasised by a coupé-like silhouette, M side skirts and a two-part crease line. The optional 21" M light alloy wheels in powerful wheel housings are simply raring to go. The muscular shoulder line culminates in an eye-catching rear spoiler. Directly below are the M rear apron and the diffuser, which are surrounded by a pair of gleaming double tailpipe finishers to bring things to a sporty end. You’ll be overwhelmed by an urge to get in and start enjoying driving pleasure in one of its most extreme forms – in a racy sports car that lives up to the M tradition and in which every detail has been developed for top performance.

The first time you look into the interior of the BMW X6 M, everything becomes clear in an instant: It’s not merely a driving seat that awaits, but a cockpit that has been developed for top sporting performance. The optional M multifunctional seats with high side bolsters make you want to search for the next tight bend immediately. The 3-spoke M leather steering wheel with integrated gearshift paddles offers ideal grip even when you change direction sharply. The M gearshift lever and the driving dynamics buttons are orientated towards the driver and located in the centre console, where they are flanked by knee-pads for increased comfort even when you take things to the limit. This is the motorsport facet of the BMW X6 M. An additional facet is characterised by exclusive materials, such as the full-leather Aragon Brown upholstery and the high-gloss trim finishers in carbon or fine-wood – just some of the details that reflect the luxurious qualities of the BMW X6 M.

The BMW X6 M comes with 21" M light alloy wheels Double spoke style 612 M as standard. Optimised to ensure outstanding driving dynamics, the 285/35 R21 front tyres and 325/30 R21 rear tyres offer top-class grip, direct steering response and perfect handling.

The intelligent BMW xDrive all-wheel drive system smoothly distributes drive power to the axles. In order to meet and surpass all expectations for traction, directional stability and driving safety simultaneously, the electronically operated system adjusts the force distribution with lightning speed. It can also counteract over and understeering, additionally improving the vehicle's directional stability and handling. In BMW M vehicles, xDrive places more emphasis on the rear axle, which also contributes to advancing dynamic characteristics. Priority is given to directing power to the rear wheels, and then to the front wheels. Especially when driving through curves, that minimises the tendency to understeer. That means that the driver can accelerate earlier and more forcefully, fully enjoying the vehicle's high driving dynamic potential. If desired, the front axle can receive up to 50 percent more of the drive torque. When Dynamic Stability Control is fully deactivated, controlled drifts are even possible.

The 8-speed Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic sets new benchmarks in dynamics and shifting. The unusually fine increments between gears and the extremely rapid shifts facilitate optimum force delivery at all speeds, guaranteeing the ultimate in power and efficiency. Particularly at high speeds, the eighth gear reduces the engine speed, in turn decreasing both fuel consumption and engine noise. Manual shifting is possible in both "D" and "S" modes by using the M gear lever or the M gearshift paddles on the steering wheel. In manual "S" mode, the M Steptronic transmission does not automatically shift up and the engine reaches max speeds when necessary. Additionally, the driver can shift very dynamically at top speeds and use the Drivelogic button to select one of three shifting modes: from comfortable and efficient, to dynamic, to racetrack dynamics with extra-short shifting times. Gear shifts with minimal loss of tractive force and a torque converter clutch that remains closed in all driving states after starting create an extremely direct connection between the engine and the drive wheels. An M exclusive feature: when the vehicle is at a standstill, there is no automatic force-transmitting connection between the engine and the transmission, which prevents "creeping". However, while manoeuvring, for example, a short tap of the accelerator activates "creeping on demand".

M compound brakes have benefited from motorsport technology, allowing them to maintain constant effectiveness and brake-fade stabilisation, even under demanding usage. The use of various highly resilient materials results in excellent thermal stability, long-term durability and precise braking. It also reduces the brakes' weight, which has a positive effect on agility, dynamics, acceleration and fuel consumption. The perforated, ventilated brake disc rings with six-piston brake callipers at the front ensure optimal responsiveness in wet conditions and improve heat dissipation. The Blue metallic brake callipers with the characteristic M logo strongly emphasise the brake discs' sporty appearance and distinct, authentic M design.

Dynamic Performance Control (DPC) increases athleticism and optimises driving dynamics by flexibly distributing drive power between the wheels on the rear axle. In combination with the other suspension regulation systems, DPC provides even greater driving precision and dynamics. Specifically designed for M, the required steering angle is reduced and accuracy is improved. The rear axle features two electronically controlled transmissions in addition to the axle differential, which enable Dynamic Performance Control to monitor the driving situation and accordingly distribute more torque to the outer rear wheel when driving through bends.

The M Driver's Package increases the top speed from the standard 250 km/h to 280 km/h. The M Driver's Package can be ordered straight away when purchasing a new vehicle or can easily be added on at a later date. All other technical data remain unchanged once installed. This also includes a voucher for BMW M Intensive Training as part of BMW Driving Experience. Should the M Driver's Package be purchased more than once then the Driving Experience training can be switched for a different training, including an additional charge.

The ultimate sporting statement, even at a standstill. This is how the BMW X6 M presents itself in the BMW Individual paint finish Azurite Black metallic. A very special touch: in direct light, the usually black surfaces reveal captivating nuances of dark blue tones, further emphasising the dynamic lines of the BMW X6 M. With the paint finish Pyrite Brown metallic, BMW Individual offers an elegant yet equally fascinating alternative.

The finest luxury, to see and feel: the BMW X6 M also sets unprecedented standards in the interior. As one of the five high quality variants of the BMW Individual full-leather trim ‘Merino’, the full-leather in Smoke White is particularly impressive in combination with the roofliner Alcantara in Smoke White and the leather-covered instrument panel in Scotch dark. This beguilingly light colour combination endows the interior with an incomparably luxurious feel.

Naturally perfect interplay: the BMW Individual fine-wood trim Ash Vulcano Brown makes for a fascinating contrast with the silky matt, smoke-white fine-grain Merino leather from BMW Individual. The other hand-selected and hand-crafted BMW Individual fine-wood trims are no less impressive – whether it’s the exquisitely patterned Sen Light Brown or the elegant Piano finish Black.

Exclusive M multifunctional seats reflect the vehicle's exterior dynamism in the interior. The driver and front passenger can sit back in full leather seats with an embossed M logo on the headrest.

Even during very dynamic driving, the deep seats, high side bolsters and angled shoulder sections guarantee perfect lateral support at all times. Highly comfortable, these seats are designed to match the vehicle's exceptionally athletic performance and offer an outstanding level of luxury on long journeys.

Integrated headrests highlight the athletic look. The seats come with a range of adjustment options, including electronic adjustment of the seat depth, headrest height and backrest width.

The seat has a recess at the top of the backrest, giving it an a appearance of lightness. This impression is reinforced by the contrasting area just below the recess. Double lap seams in a contrasting colour give the seats a highly exclusive look and highlight the seats' BMW Individual full-leather trim 'Merino'.
