Your BMW now recognizes that you want to return to your original lane after you pass another vehicle on roads and highways. The steering wheel vibrates when you move back into the lane, giving you haptic feedback.
This system does not replace your own responsibility to correctly assess visibility and traffic conditions. There is still a risk that accidents will occur. Adapt your driving style to traffic conditions. Observe what is going on in traffic and actively intervene in situations that call for it.
Optimised steering intervention to increase driving comfort

The steering intervention of your Lane Assist system when leaving the lane becomes more comfortable, as the steering duration and steering forces adapt more to your individual driving situation. In other words, the slower you leave the lane, the more gently your vehicle steers in.
DriveTo ensure that you are back in the optimum driving position more quickly, your BMW now orients itself close to the lane marking that was previously crossed.

Improved perception of IconicSounds Sport
Due to a software error in your BMW, the IconicSounds Sport function could not provide the full range of functions. This Remote Software Upgrade ensures full functionality.
Optimization of engine control
The new software further optimizes engine control functions, making the drive system even more efficient.
Optimization of Hill Descent Control
Possible functional limitations in Hill Descent Control are rectified by this software update.
UPDATES OF VARIOUS CONTROL UNITS.
Engine control unit
In affected vehicles, misfires may occur in rare cases due to out-of-date software. This is corrected by programming with the new software.
Sliding/tilting sunroof
This software upgrade prevents the possible discharge of the vehicle battery due to malfunctions of the sun roof and sunblind.
Telematics control module
A possible malfunction of the backup antenna is prevented with the new software.

BMW ICONIC SOUNDS ELECTRIC.
New soundscapes for a driving pleasure that is simply electric.
BMW IconicSounds Electric introduce an emotional and multi-layered world of sounds. They were produced in a co-creation between the BMW Sound Design Studio and the composer and Academy-Award-winner Hans Zimmer. The new sounds embody the design language of the vehicles by offering a holistic experience. They reflect the specific performance characteristics of the drive system and the brand-typical characteristics of an electrified BMW in a completely novel and authentic way. The world of sounds generated by BMW IconicSounds Electric vary depending on the driving mode chosen by the driver.
QLOCKTWO® PREPARATION.
an object of craftsmanship in your vehicle.
After the upgrade, it is possible to add QLOCKTWO to the Curved Display as a widget. QLOCKTWO is a text-based clock with a design that has received the Red Dot Design Award and the iF Product Design Award, among others. The QLOCKTWO in your vehicle combines craftsmanship with digital presence.
Instructions: Move all tiles in the main menu all the way to the left and then press “Add widget” on the right.

DC charging optimisation
In rare cases, the DC charging function may fail in affected vehicles due to out-of-date software when using charging stations provided by individual manufacturers. This is corrected by the new software.
Electric motor
In rare cases, moving off may not be carried out correctly in affected vehicles due to out-of-date software. This is corrected by the new software.
Rear lights
In rare cases, the rear lights may malfunction in affected vehicles due to out-of-date software. This is corrected by the new software.
Iconic Glow (illuminated radiator grille)
In rare cases, the illuminated radiator grille may malfunction in affected vehicles due to out-of-date software. This is corrected by the new software.
Turbocharger control optimisation
In affected vehicles, the turbocharger control may fail in rare cases due to out-of-date software. This is corrected by programming with the new software.
UPDATES OF VARIOUS CONTROL UNITS.
Engine control unit
In rare cases, the separating clutch between combustion engine and electric motor may not functionally limited in affected vehicles due to out-of-date software. This is corrected by the new software.
Head unit
This update improves your BMW's connectivity. You can now use two mobile phones via Bluetooth (registered trademark) at the same time: one as a phone and one as an audio player. What's more, up to ten devices can connect to the WiFi at once. Your smartphone is now even more connected, with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and WiFi hotspot ready to use (if your vehicle is equipped with these options).
Engine electronics
Deposits of flammable material may build up in the intake system during the life of your vehicle. This can lead to charring on the intake system and even vehicle fire. A software-based protection function (incl. Check Control message) should therefore be installed.
Recall: Airbag control unit
Your vehicle software is not up to date. The Check Control message or airbag warning light may not display in rare cases where the HV system restraint, pedestrian protection, or crash shutoff systems fail. This is corrected by the new software.
Recall: Voice control for roof system
Your vehicle’s roof pinch protection system does not comply with legal requirements. This pinch protection system will continue to function, however. Your vehicle requires programming in order to comply with applicable legal requirements. By installing this software, the recall for your vehicle has been completed.
